Quick biomass development and control over flowering induction.
Artificial light is critical to the production of many flowers. Traditionally light has been used as assimilation light to produce biomass and as photoperiodical lighting to manipulate day length. Today Valoya offers new solutions for floriculture; by choosing the correct light spectrum, it is possible to enhance or even delay flowering induction, prevent stem elongation and reduce chemical growth regulators, and improve plant quality by brighter colors, higher biomass and good rooting.
Valoya’s wide spectrum AP67, designed to induce flowering and promotion of biomass accumulation, is widely tested with many flower species including rose, Phalaenopsis orchid, lily, saintpaulia, begonia, poinsettia, hortensia, tulip, chrysanthemum, alstroemeria, and bromeliad. AP67 is suitable to use as a sole light source without natural light, in a greenhouse with sunlight as well as a combination with high pressure sodium (HPS) light.
Valoya’s Patented Spectra
Optimal light spectrum emphasizes desired growth targets whether it is good rooting, young plant propagation or production of first class plants.
Valoya’s spectra enable superior growth at lower light intensities than traditional light or traditional red / blue LEDs.
Valoya’s L- and C-series are ideal for multitier propagation. The BX-, BL- and RX-series are suited for large scale installations e.g. mother stock.
Valoya’s lights use high efficiency LEDs with optimal passive cooling, with minimal heat radiation towards the plants.
This, and the high modularity of the L-series products and the uniform light spectrum (ie. full spectrum LEDs are used, not combinations of red-blue) enables them to be used up to proximities of 15 cm from plants ensuring best possible uniformity.
Valoya’s products are designed to have a long use life, typically rated at 90% of initial output at 35000 hours, which in most cases leads to a productive life of more than 10 years (ornamentals).
