Technical Product Manager

Valoya is the leading provider of energy efficient LED Grow Lights for biotech and horticultural purposes. The company was founded in 2009 in Finland and now has personnel in Finland, the Netherlands, Germany and the United States. Since 2009 we have been committed to creating the best LED grow lights in the market. We focus on plant biology research and creating the best possible spectra for optimal plant development. Our fixtures are made up of highest quality components, including custom LED chips that produce light spectra we have patented. Our products have been sold to over 50 countries. Valoya headquarters is located in Lauttasaari, Helsinki.

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Manage technical product portfolio. Deliver and support new and existing products and features.
  • Drive the competitiveness by keeping up with technology and regulatory development. Hold high level of knowledge of competitors’ technical and marketing capabilities.
  • Manage product certifications and stay up-to-date on standards.
  • Provide technical sales support for customers, resellers and sales organisation.
  • Manage after-sales support including continuous improvement and reclamation management.

Education and experience requirements:

  • MSc./BSc. in illumination engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, business administration or other relevant fields.
  • Preferably +5 years’ work experience in product management and/or technical support.
  • Good understanding of LED technology and lighting.
  • Project Management experience is an advantage.

Other knowledge and skills:

  • We are looking for a professional and customer-oriented person with an open-minded and flexible mindset. For you it is easy to communicate and network internally and externally. You are energetic and passionate with a can-do attitude.
  • Fluent spoken and written language skills in English. Finnish, Swedish and/or German language skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to travel.
