Valoya announces a 7-figure order from a North American cannabis grower. It will be delivered within the next few months to the customer.
The order comes only two months after the introduction of the SolrayTM spectrum to the market. SolrayTM is the apex in the evolution of sunlight replicating LED spectra. After having studied white LED light in more than 400 plant trials in the past 7 years, Valoya brought SolrayTM to the market in June of 2019. This wide LED spectrum is proven to increase plant biomass, result in a natural looking, compact phenotype, while enhancing creation of valuable secondary metabolites. Boasting the industry’s highest CRI value (95) this white spectrum is pleasant to work under, safe for human eyes and the colors of plants render naturally under it, making visual inspection possible.
Valoya’s mission with it is to enable growers and researchers to cultivate the widest variety of plants more efficiently than under any other artificial lighting source. This is possible thanks to a finely balanced range of wavelengths packed inside state-of-the-art luminaires and optimized over years of research and development.
“This order is a result and a continuation of the great efforts Valoya has been making in the North American market. We now have multiple, large LED grow light installations in high-end North American cannabis cultivation facilities and are well positioned to serve more cannabis growers, small and large. Furthermore, we have appointed Mr. Kari Kylä-Kaila as responsible for large delivery projects so as to facilitate even smoother large-scale deliveries, eliminating hassle for growers and enabling them to focus on their profitability”, comments Lars Aikala, the CEO of Valoya.
The BX120 SolrayTM are research grade, high intensity, 4’ (120 cm) long bars that with 132 W produce a total output of 320 µmols. They are wet location suitable (IP67), CE marked, RoHS compliant and certified to UL/CSA standards.
