Valoya continues to grow rapidly. With sales in 46 countries and a distributor network that consists of 29 partners, Valoya is one of the globally leading players in the horticultural LED grow lights market. To support and strengthen this growth, a CFO with strong technology finance and control background joins the team in Helsinki.
The new CFO, Mr. Richard Helenelund has an extensive background in finance and business development, especially within the information and communications technology industry, where he has worked for major blue-chip companies such as Microsoft and Nokia, as well as with smaller companies like Savox and SmartTust.
“I see Valoya as a strong and highly innovative technology company that is capable of leading the way for new smart horticultural light solutions. Valoya’s patented light spectra have transformed the horticultural LED lighting scene already and more is to come. IoT and cloud computing are offering new, exciting tools which will enable further value-added offerings to our customers and are the next step in the evolution of grow lighting.”
Valoya’s CEO Lars Aikala comments: “Richard brings relevant and valuable finance know-how to Valoya in an important phase of growth. His experience from other high-tech industries and large organizations also strengthen our ability to grow and serve our customers better.”
