Controlled environments are widely used during plant breeding processes and their use is further increasing. In those environments, both light quantity and quality play a vital role.
Appropriate fixture format and light quality can be used to steer and optimize plant growth. Plant growth can be guided throughout the breeding cycle, starting from the tissue culture. Uniform light distribution creates good growth conditions, even when light source is placed very close to the plants. Good light quality translates to good quality seedlings and low mortality rates. Valoya LED Advantage
Valoya lights use high efficiency proprietary LEDs in fixtures with optimal passive cooling, with minimal heat radiation towards the plants. In controlled environments this means minimal heat gradients thus a more uniform climate. In greenhouse chambers it means better control of the heat as it is dissipated upwards rather than circulated in the room like when using HPS or MH lamps.
